Friday was a full day of activities and most of our chapter participated in the games. We had played "31" first thing in the morning and I (Pam) was in the finals. I made it through to the final 4 and we then had to have two extra playoffs because we had ties. I took 4th, darn it!
The next game was singles cribbage ..... Shirley was concentrating hard.

Mike and Kelvin were at the same table but playing different opponents. You might recognize Di Smith at the table, too!
The third game of the day was Zilch and I caught Gary playing at one of the tables with Ken from Reno Renegades.
The last game of the day was Mexican Train. There were 8 people at every table so the competition was intense! Randy and I played at the same table but Rita (left of Randy) won at our table and went on to the finals.

A little practical joke was going to be played on "King Ken" for Saturday night. Randy had found this old commode and asked me and Susie to "decorate" it! Since I had plenty of beads left from the Mardi Gras it was the decor of choice!

Saturday morning we were fed a wonderful pancake breakfast and then we got to play beanbag baseball. Gary captained the team and we had a great time. The picture shows our team, minus Randy and me.
Verna had lots of good base running today. We kept winning! We won all our games and were the 1st place champions - can you believe it? We had a lot of fun cheering each other on.
Since Gary is our President he participated in the Nevada State Meeting. This one was open to the members so we had quite a few people in the audience.
After the meeting it was time for the Theme Parade. This year it was "Sock Hop"
What an imagination people had in interpreting this theme. This is Judy from Reno Renegades dressed up as a sock!
Unfortunately, Gary and I had to leave before the Samboree was over so the rest of the details we will need to get from the rest of the group. I asked Mike S. to take some pictures so when he sends them to me they will be posted on the blog. Remember, anyone can send me pictures of chapter activities and I will try to use them.
