Feb 25th Luncheon Minutes and Special Occasions for Jan - Mar

COPPER HILLS GOOD SAMS
DENNEY'S, SPARKS
FEBRUARY 25, 2012

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Mary N. at 1:55 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

The minutes of the January 28, 2012 meeting were read and approved.

Susie S. gave the Treasurer's report as follows: Beginning balance as of January 28 was 1,551.28, receipts were 12.00, expenditures zero, leaving an ending balance of 1,563.28. It was moved and seconded to accept the report as read and the motion carried.

There was no correspondence.

OLD BUSINESS:
Susie S. reported on the chapter flags as follows: The cost of the 2x3' flag is 75.00 but there is an additional one-time set-up charge of 50.00. A motion was made and seconded that we pay the additional set-up charge and the motion carried.

Mary had a mock-up of the size of the flag and also brought color samples for the background of the flag. She had red, and two shades of blue. There was some discussion as to what should be put on the flag in addition to the emblem and the established date. A committee of Shirley W. Mary and Cathy C. will meet and
come up with some ideas for the wording on the flag and present to the group at a later date.
Susie indicated the small flags for displaying on your RV will be 12x18” and come with a 3/8” rod for displaying. She did not have the cost for these flags with her but will get the price to Candy and Candy will email to all members to determine interest.
(As an addendum to these minutes: Susie S. emailed Candy and indicated that the small flags with the rod would be $15.00 for orders of 12 to 24, and $12.00 for orders of 25 to 49.)

Mary asked for a show of hands of who may be attending the Samboree in Pahrump in March and five rigs indicated they would be attending.

Mary indicated that Pam and Gary said hello to the group and Pam was wondering if anyone had visited the chapter blog. A few members indicated they have been to the blog and to Pam and Gary's personal blog and said it was very interesting and encouraged others to visit the blogs.

Mary mentioned the charity for this year and reiterated that would be decided at a later time.

NEW BUSINESS:
Mary asked if there was anything to report on the Quincy camp-out in April and Don C. said everything was a go. And if the weather turned bad for camping, we can cancel a few days ahead of time with no problem as there was no deposit required. The date is April 26 through April 29, 2012 and the cost per night for full hook-ups is $30.50 per night. And again we will have the use of the clubhouse.

Randy indicated we need to remind Gary that it is our chapter's turn this year to pay the $60.00 deposit for the October camp-out at the Boy Scouts Camp. Randy will check to see when the deposit is due.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
It is Paul N's birthday today and Mary brought cookies for everyone to share.

Mike S. won the 50/50 drawing of $9.00.

Next meeting will be in Pahrump, if there are enough members present for a meeting.

Adjournment was at 2:25 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Candy S.
Recording Secretary
